Our client is a Central London based Branding and Communications Agency with an ever expanding talented team of experts specialising in everything food and drink. They are now looking for a Junior Account Executive to join their busy team

Salary: £23,000

The Role

A Junior Account Executive has had circa 1-year experience in supporting/internship/general experience in PR.  The role is integral within a PR agency and the individual is involved in a variety of tasks and duties. This could range from:

  • General office management – keeping everything tidy, IT management/liaison, office supplies for kitchen, cleaning, general errands for the team and office, helping organising hotels, restaurants, team events etc.
  • Helping put together presentations
  • Collating and managing articles and coverage
  • Conducting research tasks for clients
  • Assisting teams across all admin requirements
  • Supporting with events
  • Ensuring reports are up to date
  • Media sell-ins for client campaigns
  • Manage databases
  • Research
  • Coordinating guest lists
  • Social Media support
  • Support office management duties
  • Copywriting – press releases, blogs, online articles etc.
  • Liaising and building relationships with journalists
  • Supporting and attending client and media events
  • Media list management cross agency, updating, sharing new contacts etc.
  • Forward feature list management
  • Office stationery management
  • Supporting team on mailers
  • Supplier list management
  • Post  – check deliveries, post (left by front door) distribute
  • Open all boxes general FSC boxes.  Alert those they’re addressed specifically to as soon as they come in in case important.
  • Influencer engagement
  • Mailers and general support for initiatives on specific accounts
  • All admin support in terms of reporting, logging, research, industry news
  • Weekly internal meetings to ensure all account teams are aligned and know their actions for the week ahead
  • Client meetings/calls where appropriate
  • Magazines and newspaper management – subscriptions, sorting in office etc.

The Person

  • The candidate needs to have an approachable and open manner and be used to working quickly and under pressure, in a busy Media environment.
  • The ability to communicate and listen to others in a professional and helpful manner both face to face and on the telephone
  • A good understanding of office admin and etiquette
  • Good written, IT and verbal communication skills as well as a good understanding of minute taking and sharing actions with the wider team
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise own work with support
  • Ability to work under pressure and offer flexibility when required to meet deadlines
  • Creative and innovative – able to think laterally
  • Team player – must be flexible, adaptable and appreciative of needs of other team members
  • Discretion, confidentiality and act with integrity and high emotional intelligence at all times
  • Be familiar with all the main social media channels and know how to use them should it be required to upload on behalf of the team or a client (i.e. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest)
